Apple Pie

This pie is a favourite at our kids can cook class. Its easy to prepare and the kids love creating their own masterpieces.

It also encourages kids to eat apples. We have created a healthier version of the pie using organic products like Bob's Red Mills Flour, grass-fed butter and coconut sugar!

  1. Line baking sheets

  2. Mix soften butter, 1/3 cup of coconut sugar and 1 egg into food processor.

  3. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  4. Add flour and 1 tbsp of water and mix into batter until it becomes a ball.

  5. Place the ball into a floured surface and smooth it out. Cover with plastic and chill for 30 minutes.

  6. Pre heat the oven to 400 degrees.

  7. Cube the apples and mix in a bowl with cinnamon, coconut sugar and almonds.

  8. Divide the pastry ball into 6 pieces. On the lightly floured surface roll the each piece into thin circles.
