Healthy Ponche de Crème

YES! Let’s keep things as healthy as we can this Christmas.

You are already going to indulge in all the delicious Christmas delicacies so just making one recipe a little bit healthier – will help you a long way from adding those extra...extra...extra calories. Not really but close enough . . . calories from the condensed milk and the alcohol can pack on too many unwanted calories that contain no nutritional value.

I must admit I love a ponche de crème and find it hard to just stop at one drink, so I came up with this recipe, with a few twists, that allows you to have more than just one glass without the guilt!


  • 6 whole eggs

  • 3 cups of cashew milk or any nut milk of your choice

  • 1 cup of white rum

  • 1/3 cup of agave

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • ¼ tsp vanilla bean

  • Lime Zest


  1. Over medium heat, place eggs, cashew milk and agave in a medium pan. Whisk until the mixture thickens. Do not let it boil.

  2. Once you achieved the consistency let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes.

  3. Then add the remaining spices.

  4. Place in a blender and add the rum. Let it blend evenly.

  5. Store in a glass jar and place in the refrigerator.

  6. Let it chill and serve!
