Why not add a little more fibre to your diet, while taking out the gluten! These garbanzo brownies are to die for! I thought making black bean brownies were a hit but not when I tried using garbanzo – otherwise known as chickpeas.
SERVES 16
INGREDIENTS
3 Tbsp of coconut oil I use GNC brand
1 egg
3/4 cup coconut sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups Garbanzo bean flour Bob Red Mill's
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips dairy free
METHOD
Set oven to 350 degrees. Place all dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add whole egg and mix.
Add in the 3 egg whites and mix.
Melt the chocolate chips. Add the coconut oil and the melted chocolate chip. Mix well. You can place it in a mixer to get the creamy consistency.
Pour into greased 9x9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips. (Feel free to add walnuts, raisins, etc.- just add those in when you add the chocolate chips )
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until edges are browned and pull away from edges of the dish.
